WORLD VISION

All staff but one accounted for out of nearly 800 on the ground. We have supplemented the Haiti team with two dozen international relief specialists, plus there are teams in Miami, Dominican Republic and Costa Rica assisting. We have sent in 14 airlifts of emergency supplies to date, with a sealift scheduled for next week. The emergency supplies include emergency medical supplies, tents, tarps, blankets, cooksets, hygiene kits, collapsible water jerrycans with water purification sachets, and communications equipment for staff. We are also distributing 2004 metric tons of food already in-country (we've applied for an additional 6000 MT). To date World Vision worldwide has raised more than $46 million, including $40 million in private cash, $4.5 million in GIK and $2 million in government grants.

The Nazarene Mission in Haiti suffered only loss of several hundred feet of security wall. No other structural damage. No injuries on our campus.
Nazarene Compassionat Ministries is working to assess how we may best bring teams of medical personnel and our overall response. We have over 520 churchs spread across the entire country and can serve as distribution sites for other groups needing assistance in distributing relief supplies. We do have some space on our campus to store suppiles as well. If we can be of assistance please do not hesitate to contact me at bdawson@caribnaz.org

Emmanuel International Canada has just received word that our in-country reps are safe and have begun the work of assessing the situation and the need. Like other organizations we will begin to provide water, food and shelter to those affected by the earthquake. We are in the process of asking for emergency funds from our partners to provide relief essentials.

CRWRC staff in Haiti are all safe, but we are still trying to get in contact with all of our partner agencies. CRWRC's immediate response will be to meet urgent needs for things like water, shelter and food. Senior Disaster Response Project Manager, Ken Little, will travel to Haiti on Friday to assess needs and develop plans for longer-term aid. For more information, visit www.crwrc.org.

1. Bright Hope currently has 1 Project Developer and over 100 Church Member affiliates located in Pignon, Haiti. We will have two immediate responses: Distributing food, water, clothing and temporary shelter (immediate needs) and secondly to supply Med Packs (personal hygiene and First Aid kits) to needy families. All our relief efforts are accomplished through churches.
2. We are asking people to act by filling 5,000 Med Packs -- a project for churches, Sunday school classes, scout groups and homeschoolers. These can be ordered in minimum quantities of 20 at $15 each ($300) or you can sponsor a pack and Bright Hope will fill one for you for $30. To order a box of Med Packs ($300) call 224-520-6100 and speak with Joy. To sponsor a $30 Med-Pack visit our website. We are also asking for people to give through our website: www.BrightHope.org

We are seeking to confirm the status and safety of our staff in Haiti. Our operations are not close to PaP, but we do have staff with family in that area.
