About Aerdo:
Background
AERDO, the Association of Evangelical Relief and Development
Organizations, was founded in 1978. It represents a network
of more than 60 of the major evangelical Christian relief and development
agencies across North America. The Board of Directors is
comprised of a representative from each member agency. AERDO
is managed by a ten-member Executive Committee, elected from the
membership board.
AERDO annually hosts a Forum on Relief and Development. AERDO offers agency and associate memberships.
Vision Statement
Being compelled by the love of our Lord Jesus Christ, we work
together with all believers in partnership with the poor and oppressed
so together we become all God intended us to be.
Mission Statement
AERDO is a professional forum for non-profit Christian agencies
and individuals engaged in relief and development work. AERDO
exists to promote excellence in professional practice; to foster
networking, collaboration and information exchange; and to enable
its membership to effectively support the Church in serving the
poor and needy.
